I’ve gone Greek

The rumors are true – I have a girlfriend.

I’ve been dating Lexi for about four months now and we’ve officially been a couple for about a month now.

She’s a cute little Greek girl who runs a restaurant her family owns in South Salt Lake.  She works a lot, has a hyperactive border-collie who loves to play, and a very sweet mom.  She has a great sense of humor and for some reason she seems to think I’m funny. (Don’t hold that against her.)  She’s smart, she’s a great cook, her dart game is deceptive (literally,) and she passed the ultimate test – she thinks Arrested Development is funny.

I’ve been spending a lot of time with her doing all sorts of random things: a night out in Park City, Real Salt Lake and Jazz games, walks with her dog, movies, nights out with her friends, bar hopping, a day trip to Wendover, and going to family events to name a few.

It’s a cliche to say, but we just click.  She’s been a great addition to my life and I’m extremely grateful to be dating some a great girl.

I spent last weekend helping her get ready for Greek Easter.  It’s a lot like the other Easter, only the eggs are all red and the prayer / song before lunch isn’t in English.  Lexi had about 40 family and friends at her house to partake in some great Greek food.  I’ve met a few of her extended family but this was a full onslaught of cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Everyone was incredibly nice and made me feel right at home.  I guess now am I an honorary Greek.  It becomes official when I get the spanakopita recipe.
